1. NEVER GIVE UP … Help pass H. Res. 367
Will we ever have a National Italian & Italian American Heritage Month Resolution? … It’s up to us!
I’ve been ask why do others have Commemorative Months and we don’t!
The answer is simply that they worked hard for it!
List of Commemorative months (Good for some, but not for us!)
Call your legislators to help designated October as Italian & Italian American Heritage Month
• Don’t know their phone number? Than phone by calling the U.S. Capitol switchboard at 202 224-3121. Say his/her name and state and you will be put through to his/her office. Then give your name and tell them your state.
Keep checking http://thomas.loc.gov/home/thomas.php
Check Bill and type in H. Res. 367 to see if your REPRESENTATIVE has been added to the co-sponsor list
- H. Res. 367 is now in the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform … Where it can stay and never brought to the House floor for a vote.
- Chairman Issa has not responded to my letter or E-MAILS (petitions were sent)
- The leadership of the House has stated “no more commemorative resolutions
- We only have 13 co-sponsors
- Most of the members of the Italian American Congressional Delegation have not co-sponsored H. Res. 367 YET!
- The Senate needs to reintroduce their resolution (2011 – S. Res. 301)
- We need you to also contact your senators and ask that they sponsor an identical Senate resolution for this year
- If your Congressional leaders have told you they would co-sponsor please tell them to contact Pascrell’s aide Kristen Molloy at 202 225-5751 or E-mail her at kristen.molloy@mail.house.gov informing her you’re co-sponsoring

Bob Beckle should be fired..........
Dear Sir: RE: Bob Beckel's Italian-American insults must stop !
Italian-Americans are the ones that sign Beckel's pay check as we spend big in the market place buying products...including Verizon.
Yet... Bob Beckel sees fit to insult us on a daily basis and sponsors turn a deaf ear to his Italian-American insults and our complaints ?
He would not dare do with any other group.... gays included.
He should be fired so he can go back to his paper route.

To Whom It May Concern:
Given the continuous anti-Italian American remarks made on Fox News’
“The Five,” show, I am asking you to please immediately remove your
advertisements from this show and network.
Italian Americans are the seventh largest ethnic group in America, and
a major supporter of your company. Over the past year, Bob Beckel, a
panelist on “The Five,” has made a variety of bigoted attacks on
Italian Americans that has included calling us “greaseballs,” and
“guidos.”
During one such show, Beckel noted “all the garbage men in his area
must be Italian because all the names on the trash trucks end in a
vowel. “ On another occasion, Beckel said “one of the things he
hated about shopping was that he had to fight the crowds of guidos for
parking." On separate occasions, he has labeled Italian Americans as
“greaseballs” and “guidos.”
Neither Beckel—nor Fox News---have acknowledged or addressed numerous
emails and calls from Italian Americans regarding the bigoted remarks.
Their lack of civility and sensitivity is astounding toward Italian
Americans, and this type of hatred should never be tolerated against
any ethnic group.
We are calling upon you to join us in making a statement against
bigotry and racism and to just say NO! To Fox News and “The Five.”
You can start by pulling all your advertisements. I await your response.
Sincerely,
Sebastian D'Elia

Send your comments to TV critic from Ledger asepinwall@starledger.com
Dear Mr. Sepinwall: I read your story regarding the allegations of racism on "2 Broke Girls," with interest today as a representative of the Italian American ONE VOICE Coaltion.
We are fighting a similar battle against Fox's "The Five" whose panelist, Bob Beckel, has been actively making constant racist remarks about Italian Americans, and I might add, not in jest.
'2 Broke Girls'
What made this story interesting was the co-creator's response to racism on the show: "I find it comic to take everybody down."
Press tour: '2 Broke Girls' panel turns ugly with racism, raunchiness charges
Things get tense between the critics and producer Michael Patrick King
